Come hear Owen Richards, Robert Humble discuss their award winning 99K House that won the Rice Design Alliance and AIA Houston For an Affordable, Sustainable House Prototype

Imagine a house design flexible enough to adapt to the changing needs of inhabitants, incorporating sustainability features like rainwater harvesting and a geothermal mechanical system, that could be built for $99,000 dollars.  Local Seattle architects, Hybrid/ORA did, and won the 99k  House competition to design an affordable, sustainable house prototype for the Gulf Coast Region devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

We are pleased to welcome Owen Richards of Owen Richards Architects and Robert Humble and Joel Egan of Hybrid, to discuss their work and answer questions.

This concept is especially timely as Seattle searches  for ways to provide well designed affordable housing in our great neighborhoods.

The lunch is cosponsored by Council Member Sally Clark and Seattle DPD.
