SEATTLE— On Tuesday, July 22, 6 p.m., Councilmember Nick Licata is co-sponsoring a pedestrian safety forum with Safe Walks, a coalition of citizens, neighborhoods and advocacy groups in Seattle.

SEATTLE— On Tuesday, July 22, 6 p.m., Councilmember Nick Licata is co-sponsoring a pedestrian safety forum with Safe Walks, a coalition of citizens, neighborhoods and advocacy groups in Seattle. Safe Walks is seeking an equitable solution to the problem of providing safe pedestrian passageway throughout the city, especially in neighborhoods in the north and south ends. The forum will help identify sidewalk needs citywide and begin the work of identifying funding sources for those needs. Representatives from the Seattle Department of Transportation, Feet First, and neighborhoods around Seattle will be attending the event.

What: Forum on Safe Walks
Where: Seattle City Hall, 600 First Avenue, Bertha Knight Landes Room, First Floor
When: Tuesday, July 22, 6 p.m.
Who: Councilmember Nick Licata, representatives from Safe Walks, Seattle Department of Transportation, Feet First, and neighborhoods around Seattle

All are welcome. There is no admission charge and no need to RSVP.
