NOTE: CAPITOL HILL STATION TRANSIT-ORIENTED-DEVELOPMENT DISCUSSION POSTPONED
In lieu of a discussion on the redevelopment of property above the future Broadway Link light rail station, we will have an update on the regional system expansion. Sound Transit’s Rachel Smith will talk about the impacts of the recession, the agency’s new TOD policy, and the kick-off of ST3.
Link light rail began service in 2009 between Seattle and SeaTac International Airport. The extension north to Capitol Hill and the University of Washington will open in 2016. Come learn about the voter-approved extensions further north–as well as east and south–that will knit together more of our region into a future of greater connectivity and mobility.
When will these extensions be complete, and where is rail going? Join us to have these and more of your questions answered, direct from the source.
