Hmmmm … The house transportation committee passed the transportation budget yesterday with an amendment that killed a Seattle Department of Transportation grant for a transit priority corridor on Market/45th St., swapping it out for more commuter trains to Lakewood.

Both worthy projects, but score one for sprawl over density and against Seattle.

    What smugness. What the hell is wrong with people wanting to live in the burbs. Why do you want to force people to live in cramped little apartments listening to everything your neighbors do? Some people do not like living like that.
    Perhaps you guys should get over the fact that that your environmental high ground isnt reason enough to force people to change how they want to live their lives. This is America where we get to do what we want.

    That is until progressives like yourselves try to social engineer people into different lives.

    Leave us alone. We hate cities and want to live in our OWN houses with our OWN cars.
